I still remember with great admiration Mr. Gordon visiting and playing at the Left Bank Jazz Society in Baltimore many years ago and his memorable comments pertaining to Louis Armstrong. Smiling and making merriment("One Flight Up"  were all the better while listening to the music of Dexter Gordon, and so he helped many Baltimoreans keep the faith in humankind with his pulsating jump for joy music.
